Okay, so you’re not a Cabinet member. Or even a special envoy to the Middle East. But you have more power than you think. Make sure you have the latest news and tell people around you. Be vocal at work (in a non-irritating way, of course). Provide context. Once you make the active decision to put yourself on the line for your beliefs, every person you interact with is a person you can influence and the message can then spread exponentially. You never know who your friend’s friend knows.
The camera comes with free photo editing software. You can view and edit images easily. Turn your last trip into a slide show for viewing. You may wish to go outside with the children. Turn their playtime into a unique film. They will appreciate their own 123movie.
I watch my Idaho grandkids jump on the trampoline, work in the garden, do household chores and do their school work. They occasionally watch a DVD on the usually dormant television set which is not hooked up to any source that could bring in MTV or even PBS. They are Idaho farm community kids and there is not an ounce of fat total on all 13 of them.
Things progressed fairly fast after that and soon the common folk were able to afford “cell phones” or cellular telephones. These worked along the same lines as radio phone networks, but were fully automated, thus cheaper. This was a breakthrough for everyone who wanted to be able to call from the local high school game or from a picnic site to say hello. Coverage was analogue and splotchy though and you had to be relatively close to YOUR cell tower (not just any one would do) to be able to maintain a decent signal.
What I liked about this movie: Whenever you produce a goofy film like this, you run the risk of going a bit too far. That wasn’t the case with this movie. You have a lot of great comedy but you still have a movie that is watch able for other reasons too.
If “42” over performed, “Scary Movie 5” underperformed. It may have fallen in the “too soon” category as it was in more theaters, but landed at No. 2. The spoof arrived just one week after “Evil Dead.” Speaking of last week’s winner, how did it do?
Those familiar with the movie knows that the basic story is somewhat inspired by Ingmar Bergman’s film “Virgin Spring,” and it follows two teenage girls, Mari and Phyllis, as they head into the city to go to a concert. While in town, they decide to score some grass and go to a total stranger (most people would know better) who ends up leading him back to his place. It turns out that at his place are a couple of escaped convicts and their girlfriend who then proceed to torture the two girls to their last dying breath. You can see why the tagline of the movie fit this movie brilliantly. You have to keep reminding yourself that is only a movie, but that becomes challenging because what happens is all too real.
