My rare coins collections are high priority in my budgeting. I don’t drive a new car (under 20 years old) or have any of the latest techno-gimmicks (no cell phone or cable TV) so I can have coins in my life.
When should I make an investment? In the stock market, the spot price is the base price for precious metals like gold. The Coins ‘ values are a bit higher than this spot price. If you want to know the accurate value of your coins, you need to check daily the rise and fall of the gold spot price. When there is drop of price, it is the right time to make an investment. There are several types of gold coin you can freely choose to invest in. These include gold bullion Madden coins, numismatic gold coins, American gold eagle coins and others. Other national gold bullions include the Canadian Maple Leafs, South African Kruggerands, Australian nuggets, Mexican 50 pesos and the Austrian 100 Coronas. Apart from all of these mentioned coins, there are several others to choose from.
A good place to start your collection is with a “type set”. That is, collecting by the type of coin, rather than series, i.e. date and mint mark. I have also written an article on that. To be safe, purchase only graded Cheap Madden Coins from PCGS or NGC.
Learn what “problem” coins are and avoid them for greatest appreciation in value. Or buy “problem” coins cheaply, and throw them in your bullion pile.
There are some collectors who prefer silver coins over gold, but most enthusiasts make sure that they have both. These Madden coins can be availed from different resources that include online stores, coin dealers and at auctions.
Different coins may be struck with different depths in the beginning so you should know what the coin looks like in mint or uncirculated condition. The appearance of the coin will be the most important factor in grading coins. Coins that are mint condition or uncirculated will have the full luster that they came off the mint with. Some slight discoloration can occur from rolling the coins together or from rubbing together in the bag they were put into. If the metal itself is still intact, the coin is probably still in mint condition.
Now go to your MAIN account and place a cheap, dispensable card in the “Auction Block.” Be sure to set the “Buy Out” price to the determined amount of transfer (in this case, 10k coins). Also, make note of which card you have put up for auction.
